Preview: Chelsea Academy Knights vs. Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks
Chelsea Academy is 3-0 against Fairfax HomeSchool since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Chelsea Academy Knights will get right back to it and host the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Chelsea Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Christ Chapel Academy 62-58.
Meanwhile, Fairfax HomeSchool had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They put the hurt on Spirit HomeSchool with a sharp 58-32 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fairfax HomeSchool has managed all season.
Chelsea Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.
Chelsea Academy strolled past Fairfax HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-34. Will Chelsea Academy repeat their success, or does Fairfax HomeSchool have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
