Soccer Recap: Coppell Find Success

Coppell kept a clean sheet against Guyer on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Guyer Wildcats. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Wildcats are ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coppell is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-1-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Guyer, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Coppell will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Little Elm at 7:30 p.m. Coppell's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Guyer has already played their next contest (against Hebron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
