Baseball Recap: Olmsted Falls Gets the Win

Olmsted Falls won the last time they faced Avon and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-1.

Joey Goetz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Olmsted Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Perkins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Perkins also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Andrew Norton was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Olmsted Falls' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Avon, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Olmsted Falls will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
