Baseball Recap: Lebanon Takes a Loss

If Lebanon was feeling good fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Taylor on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Turpin Spartans on Friday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Lebanon got a good showing from Cameron Healy, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Healy a new career-low in walks (zero).

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Turpin, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon will host Wayne at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lebanon is facing Wayne at the right time seeing as Wayne is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Turpin, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.7, the Trailblazers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
