Recap: Kettering Captains vs. South Lyon East Cougars
The Kettering Captains lost against the South Lyon East Cougars back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Kettering was outmatched by South Lyon East on the road and fell 72-39. Kettering has not had much luck with South Lyon East recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Kettering's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Diego Rocha, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds, and Kevin Meredith who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Meredith scored 15 or more points.
Kettering struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Kettering bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South Lyon East, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Kettering will be home for the holidays to greet Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Lyon East, they will head out on the road to face off against Walled Lake Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
