Desert Hills is 8-1 against Canyon View since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Desert Hills Thunder will host the Canyon View Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Desert Hills is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Saturday, Desert Hills needed a bit of extra time to put away Foothill. They won by a run and slipped past the Falcons 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hoyt Atkin looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Harmon Skeen, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Briggs Fillmore, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Canyon View's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They lost 9-2 to Snow Canyon. The loss was the Falcons' first of the season.

Desert Hills pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Canyon View, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Desert Hills was able to grind out a solid win over Canyon View in their previous matchup back in May of 2021, winning 6-3. Will Desert Hills repeat their success, or does Canyon View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
