Cathedral owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mooresville Pioneers 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Irish sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Henry Haley looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Cathedral secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Eli Sinsabaugh, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Sinsabaugh has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Cathedral's record now sits at 10-6. As for Mooresville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Cathedral didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Herron on the 7th. As for Mooresville, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Greenwood on the 6th.
