Basketball Recap: Eupora Takes a Loss

Eupora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Choctaw County Chargers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 68-26.

It was another big night for Caleb Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds for Choctaw County. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Cunningham has scored at least a third of Choctaw County's points. Ethan Miller was another key player, putting up nine points.

Eupora's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Choctaw County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

As of now, neither Eupora nor Choctaw County have any future games scheduled.
