Basketball Recap: Zack Alexander's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stuart W. Cramer over Kings Mountain

Stuart W. Cramer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 82-58 to the Kings Mountain Mountaineers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Storm this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-45 back in December of 2024.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zack Alexander, who went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points and four steals. That's the most points Alexander has posted since back in November of 2024. Qualteau Hawkins was another key player, putting up eight points.

Even though they lost, Stuart W. Cramer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kings Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Silas Tate, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Hill, who went 6 of 11 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Stuart W. Cramer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Kings Mountain, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

Stuart W. Cramer has already played their next match (against Forestview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kings Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-54 win against Burns on the 29th.
