Baseball Recap: Buffalo Grove Takes a Loss

Buffalo Grove lost against Prospect on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bison took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Buffalo Grove got a good showing from Hanson Joey, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Joey gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Griffin Kelly made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Carrison, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Buffalo Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-2. As for Prospect, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Grove will venture away from home to take on Palatine at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Prospect, they will head out to face off against Conant at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
