Basketball Recap: Yavneh Academy Triumphs

Burton Adventist Academy came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Yavneh Academy, but Lilly Yalovsky wouldn't allow it. The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs blew past the Burton Adventist Academy Angels 60-37 on Thursday thanks in part to Yalovsky, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 15 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Yavneh Academy's points.

Another player making a difference was Jordyn Spalding, who posted seven points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Yavneh Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Burton Adventist Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
