Volleyball Recap: Ardrey Kell Knights vs. Lake Norman Wildcats        
        
		
             After a string of four wins, Ardrey Kell's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lake Norman Wildcats by a score of  3-2. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2014.
 Ardrey Kell took Lake Norman into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 19-25,  16-14.
  Hayley Rollar and  Sofia Fumero certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Rollar  had 16  digs, while  Fumero  had 12  digs.
 Lake Norman was led to victory by  Amira Sahley and  Alayna Lefebvre.  Sahley  had 11  digs and 27  assists, while  Lefebvre  had ten  digs and two  aces. Sahley is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 13 or more in the last eight games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Abi Davis, who  had 15  digs and two  aces.
 Ardrey Kell now  has a losing record at 8-9. As for Lake Norman, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
 Ardrey Kell will face off against Northwest Guilford at 10:30  a.m.  on Saturday. Ardrey Kell is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Lake Norman, they will venture away from home to  challenge A.L. Brown  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
