Baseball Game Preview: Armwood Hawks vs. Sumner Stingrays

The Armwood Hawks will take on the Sumner Stingrays at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Armwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 10-7 to Strawberry Crest on Tuesday.

Theodric Hicks was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Sumner had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Sharks 9-3. That six run margin sets a new team best for the Stingrays this season.

The team relied heavily on Sebastian Peralta, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Robledo, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Sumner hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverview struck out nine times.

Sumner now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Armwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
