Houston never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Briarcrest Christian Saints. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Lindsey Barnes, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alivia Ramirez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Houston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Briarcrest Christian only posted a batting average of .120.

The win got Houston back to even at 2-2. As for Briarcrest Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Houston will take on Cordova at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Houston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Briarcrest Christian, they will head out to challenge Northpoint Christian at 5:00 p.m. on March 17th. Northpoint Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Briarcrest Christian likes a good challenge.
