Mitchell got themselves on the board against River Ridge on Thursday, but River Ridge never followed suit. They won by a run and slipped past the Royal Knights 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since March 19, 2025.

Mitchell got a great performance from Andrew LaMacchia as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. LaMacchia also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Mustangs are 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-4 otherwise.

Mitchell's record now sits at 3-5. As for River Ridge, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Mitchell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Royal Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
