            The Proviso East Pirates will square off against the Addison Trail Blazers at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
Proviso East is probably headed into the  game with a chip on their shoulder considering Crane Medical just ended the team's  six-game winning streak  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Cougars, falling  56-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Pirates have suffered  since December 26, 2024.

She has been hot for a while, having  posted two or more  steals the last ten times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nariyah Head, who  earned eight points.
 Even though they lost, Proviso East  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive boards in 13 consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Addison Trail). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Elgin 68-34. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Blazers with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Proviso East's defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-8. As for Addison Trail, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 10-15 record  this season.
 Proviso East beat Addison Trail 33-22  in their previous meeting  back in December of 2024. Will Proviso East repeat their success,  or does  Addison Trail have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
