Volleyball Recap: Sheridan Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Thunder Basin

Sheridan faced Thunder Basin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Broncs fell 3-1 to the Bolts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bolts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Sheridan was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Thunder Basin work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-13, 22-25, 25-22.

Reece McGrath was a one-woman wrecking crew For Thunder Basin. as she had 18 digs and three assists. That's the most digs McGrath has posted over her last six contests.

Sheridan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Thunder Basin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sheridan and Thunder Basin will both be playing Campbell County the next time they take the court. The Bolts will host the Camels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Broncs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
