 On Friday, St. Pius X faced Sandia in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The St. Pius X Sartans fell just short of the Sandia Matadors by a score of  8-6. St. Pius X has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Aurora Green made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Gabriella Casco was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
