Baseball Game Preview: Dover-Sherborn Raiders vs. Millis Mohawks

The Dover-Sherborn Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Millis Mohawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Millis took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Dover-Sherborn, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Dover-Sherborn earned a 6-2 win over Bellingham. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Luke Napoli was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Millis unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Norton by a score of 3-1 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Nick Hohman was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Dover-Sherborn's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Millis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Dover-Sherborn took their win against Millis in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Dover-Sherborn repeat their success, or does Millis has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
