Basketball Game Preview: Inter-Lakes Lakers vs. Belmont Red Raiders

The Inter-Lakes Lakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Belmont Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belmont took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Inter-Lakes, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Inter-Lakes strolled past Somersworth with points to spare, taking the game 38-20.

Belmont might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 61-17 to St. Thomas Aquinas, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Saints: they've now lost five in a row.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Inter-Lakes, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.

Inter-Lakes lost to Belmont on the road by a decisive 46-31 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Inter-Lakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
