Baseball Recap: Great Falls Takes a Loss

The matchup between Great Falls and Skyview on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Bison fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 10-9. The Bison were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Andrew Boutilier led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tyler Zech, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Great Falls has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Skyview, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Great Falls will venture away from home to square off against Billings Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Skyview, they will head out to face off against Laurel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
