Volleyball Recap: Northwest Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Northwest Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Willow Canyon Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Sam Caldwell paced Northwest Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Caldwell got some help from Trace Martin and his 21 assists. Martin was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Northwest Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Willow Canyon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Northwest Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Del Sol on the 29th. As for Willow Canyon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Desert Vista on the 29th.
