Basketball Recap: Vale's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Vale had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 67-62 W over the Grant Union Prospectors on Tuesday. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 75-51 victory the Prospectors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2014.

Vale's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Grant Union, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vale will welcome Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Vale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grant Union, they will be playing at home against Heppner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
