Soccer Recap: James Lick Takes a Loss

James Lick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit Lions.

James Lick now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, they pushed their record up to 5-0-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Lick will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit duke it out with the KIPP Navigate College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
