Volleyball Game Preview: Dubuque Senior Rams vs. Mt. Vernon Mustangs

The Dubuque Senior Rams will venture away from home to take on the Mt. Vernon Mustangs on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Dubuque Senior not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 8, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Xavier as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Tuesday. Mt. Vernon blew past Independence 3-0. Mt. Vernon hasn't had any issues with Independence recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Dubuque Senior's record now sits at 17-11. As for Mt. Vernon, their record is now 12-9.

Dubuque Senior came up short against Mt. Vernon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
