Baseball Recap: Prosser Takes a Loss

Prosser and Amundsen squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Prosser had to settle for second. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Prosser saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Montes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Prosser's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Amundsen, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-22-1 record this season.

Prosser does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amundsen, they will challenge DePaul College Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
