Volleyball Recap: Castaic Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Taft, Castaic was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Sylmar Spartans. This was payback for the Coyotes, who suffered a 1-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Castaic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-23.

Castaic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sylmar, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Coming up, Castaic will head out to take on Bishop Alemany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sylmar, they will square off against Poly at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
