Basketball Recap: Durand's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Durand's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They took down the Alden-Hebron Green Giants 49-31. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-38 last Saturday.

Durand was led to victory by Ethan Rager and Hayden Sughroue. Rager dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards, while Sughroue posted 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Rager a new career-high in assists (five).

Durand's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Alden-Hebron, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Durand wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-42 defeat against Scales Mound on the 7th. As for Alden-Hebron, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-33 loss against Schaumburg Christian on the 7th.
