Juneau-Douglas won the last time they faced Ketchikan and things went their way on Friday too. The Crimson Bears came out on top against the Kings by a score of 3-1.

Juneau-Douglas got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 30-28, 18-25, 26-24.

Braith Dihle paced Juneau-Douglas' offense, picking up 12 kills. Dihle got some help from Liliane Veikosa and her 21 assists. Veikosa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Juneau-Douglas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-0-2 record this season. As for Ketchikan, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Juneau-Douglas will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Kings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
