Baseball Game Preview: Foxborough Warriors vs. Milford Scarlet Hawks

Foxborough and Milford are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Scarlet Hawks at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Foxborough's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Milford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Foxborough came out on top against Martha's Vineyard Regional on Sunday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Vineyarders. Considering the Warriors have won four games by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Milford lost 11-1 to Taunton on Monday.

Milford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Ballard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Milford dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Foxborough, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
