Basketball Recap: Corona del Sol Comes Up Short

Corona del Sol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Desert Vista Thunder, falling 83-46. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-38 back in January.

Desert Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Garrett Saunders led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Damian 'DJ' Spencer, who posted 18 points.

Corona del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for Desert Vista, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-11.

Corona del Sol does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Desert Vista, they have already played their next matchup, a 70-36 defeat against Sunnyslope on the 12th.
