Basketball Game Preview: Olmsted Falls Bulldogs vs. North Ridgeville Rangers

Olmsted Falls and North Ridgeville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. Both will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Olmsted Falls knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully North Ridgeville likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Olmsted Falls was able to grind out a solid victory over Elyria, taking the game 55-42. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Pioneers are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, North Ridgeville ended up a good deal behind Avon on Friday and lost 58-42. The Rangers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Olmsted Falls has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for North Ridgeville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Olmsted Falls strolled past North Ridgeville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 49-32. Will Olmsted Falls repeat their success, or does North Ridgeville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
