With a playoff win on the line, Stratford Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Piedmont Academy Cougars by a score of 67-55. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won nine matches in a row.

Piedmont Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Marissa Holder, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 40% of Piedmont Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row Holder has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Keck, who put up 18 points and seven boards.

Stratford Academy's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Piedmont Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-5.
