It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but ConVal ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Plymouth Bobcats 4-3. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one run.
ConVal's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gus Hatmaker, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for ConVal and bumps their season record up to 5-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Plymouth, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. ConVal is set to face off against their familiar foe Coe-Brown Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Plymouth will challenge rival Souhegan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
