Preview: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Out-of-Door Academy Thunder
The Strawberry Crest Chargers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 2:00 p.m. on December 28th.
Strawberry Crest struggled with assists last Friday (King had 22 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Strawberry Crest was outmatched by King on the road and fell 84-40. Strawberry Crest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-22.
Despite the defeat, Strawberry Crest had strong showings from Hunter Hall, who scored 12 points, and Bryon "Tra" Jones, who scored 11 points. The game was Hall's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Lewis, who scored five points.
Meanwhile, Out-of-Door Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Southwest Florida Christian on Tuesday, taking the game 60-53. The victory was just what Out-of-Door Academy needed coming off of a 87-60 loss in their prior contest.
Strawberry Crest's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Out-of-Door Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
