Softball Recap: Mount Abram Roadrunners vs. Lisbon Greyhounds

Mount Abram extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-2 in the process. They came up short against the Lisbon Greyhounds, falling 23-2. The Roadrunners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

For Lisbon's part, Mackenzie Eaton made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Eaton has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubriana Bright, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Bright is crushing it when it comes to hits: she's got at least three every time she's taken the field this season.
