Baseball Recap: Thornwell Takes a Loss

Thornwell and Lewisville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Thornwell had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lions, falling 19-3. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thornwell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Workman, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Thornwell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Lewisville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Thornwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lewisville, they will host Ware Shoals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
