Douglas County had to settle for second on Monday, but Zander Tomczak sure wasn't going down easily. Tomczak was dynamite, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Tomczak and Douglas County will venture away from home to take on ThunderRidge at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
