Baseball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

The Sheldon Irish didn't have quite enough to beat the Gilbert Christian Knights on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Sheldon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gilbert Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Sheldon will take on Dawson School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gilbert Christian, they will be playing at home against Highland at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilbert Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Highland has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
