Baseball Game Preview: Winona Christian Stars vs. Washington Generals

For the second straight game, Winona Christian will face off against Washington. The Stars will head out on the road to face off against the Generals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Winona Christian is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Winona Christian heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Washington, falling 15-6.

For Washington's part, they got a massive performance out of Turner Hitt, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Hitt has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Reid Henderson, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Washington hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.

Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Winona Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
