Basketball Game Preview: NELA Christian Homeschool Flame vs. Cornerstone Christian Academy Eagles

The NELA Christian Homeschool Flame will challenge the Cornerstone Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. NELA Christian Homeschool has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Cornerstone Christian Academy will come in with 17 straight wins.

Last Tuesday, NELA Christian Homeschool came up short against Word of God Academy and fell 57-45.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian Academy). They claimed a resounding 85-46 victory over Varsity Opponent. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

NELA Christian Homeschool better focus on containing Bradyn Stevenson and Ryston McNaughton as the pair were huge in Cornerstone Christian Academy's win. Stevenson posted 24 points, while McNaughton scored 21 points. The dominant performance gave Stevenson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden McNaughton, who had 11 points.

NELA Christian Homeschool's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0.

Things could have been worse for NELA Christian Homeschool, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-27 loss to Cornerstone Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024.
