Soccer Recap: Sunnyslope Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corona del Sol, Sunnyslope was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rincon/University Rangers 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Johnny Tejada and Cameron Holeva scored all three of Sunnyslope's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Sunnyslope's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Rincon/University, they now have a losing record at 6-7-2.

Sunnyslope will be playing in front of their home fans against Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rincon/University, they will take on Desert Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rincon/University is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
