Volleyball Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss

Robinson lost against Fairfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Maroons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mules.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Fairfield scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Eva Brashear paced Robinson's offense, picking up six kills. Brashear got some help from Sicily Rawlings and her seven assists.

Robinson has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season. As for Fairfield, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Robinson will take on Teutopolis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will head out to take on Norris City-Omaha-Enfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
