Baseball Game Preview: Newport - Bellevue Knights vs. North Creek Jaguars

The Newport - Bellevue Knights will challenge the North Creek Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Newport - Bellevue has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while North Creek will come in with three straight wins.

Newport - Bellevue fell victim to Battle Ground and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, North Creek got themselves on the board against Woodinville on Friday, but Woodinville never followed suit. They skirted past the Falcons 1-0.

The result came thanks to Jack Cochran's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, North Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Christopherson, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave Christopherson a new career-high.

North Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Newport - Bellevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1.
