Mountain View took a 31-point defeat the last time they faced off against Owyhee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mavericks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Storm 24-21. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was another big night for Henry Nelson, who threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 70 yards. A healthy portion of Nelson's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Tyler Weaver.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Owyhee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Owyhee, they will head out on the road to challenge Middleton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
