Basketball Game Preview: Chelsea Hornets vs. Northridge Jaguars

The Chelsea Hornets will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Northridge Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chelsea faced off against Oxford. in a bug-themed battle on Saturday. Chelsea took down Oxford 51-33. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northridge). They claimed a resounding 68-21 win over Tanner. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Northridge, bringing their record for this year to 15-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.5 points per game. As for Chelsea, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Everything came up roses for Chelsea against Northridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 65-38 victory. Will Chelsea repeat their success, or does Northridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
