Softball Recap: Bradford Beats Buchholz for Their Third Straight Win

Bradford extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 10-8 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Buchholz Bobcats. That's two games straight that the Tornadoes have won by just one run.

Tayrn Flowers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Regan Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Bradford hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

As for Buchholz, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On Buchholz's side, Jurnee Reed spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Leila Ricks and Madison Blackford did some serious damage despite the final result: Ricks went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Blackford went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Quaniyah Robinson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Coming up, Bradford will face off against Keystone Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buchholz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
