Baseball Recap: Wausaukee Takes a Loss

Wausaukee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Peshtigo Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 22-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Wausaukee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Peshtigo, they moved to 9-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Wausaukee will square off against Oconto at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Peshtigo, they will be playing at home against Niagara at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
