Forge Christian came tearing into Monday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past The Academy Wildcats 14-3. The Fury might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Burke Jasa, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sullivan Strange, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Forge Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Forge Christian pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for The Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Forge Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against The Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
