Volleyball Recap: Slidell Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Slidell faced off against Walker on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Slidell easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.

Slidell had a senior duo take command as Ava Labat had 28 assists and Ella Kate Spilling had 14 digs. Labat is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Despite the loss, Walker still got an impressive performance from Lily Vetter, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Slidell's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Walker, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Slidell has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Denham Springs on the 27th. As for Walker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Liberty Magnet on the 27th.
